Thanksgiving FHE

Thanks to Robyn I got this idea for our Thanksgiving FHE. The kids loved it. We decorated our Thanksgiving tree with leaves and on those leaves we wrote what we were thankful for.

Before: After:

Rachel Ray Show

Yes, my great husband once again watched the kids while I played. Last week I went to the Rachel Ray show with a group of friends. I think we had 19 in all in our group. It was such a good time! I love living so close to NYC. We made it a day trip which was really nice because I don't like to be away from my husband or kids for too long. I miss them too much.

We then took a subway up to the studio where the show would be recording.

A view of the city from the ferry. It was a cloudy day, but not too cold and not rainy.

We waited in a room to get into the show and their were pictures of RR all over.

Posing with Rachel

The show was great! It was very different from the other show I've been to. It wasn't a live show so we were in the show from 4-7. It was tiring, but really fun. I loved her set. It was so big and the audience moved (like we were all on a lazy susan and the ground turned)! We couldn't take pictures inside the set. The show we were at will actually be shown two different days (2 different shows). One will play before Christmas (I'm not sure what day???) and the other sometime in January. At the end of the show, we all received her newest cook book.

Ask me about my subway experience. It's much better if I tell it in person. Let's just say, I thought my life was going to end! (I overreacted,-the others would agree-but I was VERY scared)

Our new pets!

Look to the right for our new pets! The kids love feeding the fish. Just place your cursor in the tank and click. The fish will eat all of your food.

Happy Veteran's day Danny

Happy Veteran's day Danny! ( and all those who have served in the military). Thank you for serving our country! Thank you for risking your life for our freedoms and safety. Have a great Veteran's Day!

These pictures were taken last year, however we still wore our shirts today (except for Garrett and Sterling; Garrett's doesn't fit anymore)

DC

On Friday night we drove to DC to attend the temple Saturday morning. We had to be there at 7:00am so we decided it would be better to wake up at 5:30 or 6:00 than 3:00am. We stayed in an inn on Bolling Air force base. The base was so nice and clean and safe, a commodity out here!We got the family suite and it was sweet! The kids slept in the front room where there was a hideaway bed/couch. They thought it was so cool. Maelie calls the inn room our 'new home'.

Here is the picture of the full size kitchen. Yes, that's right. An oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster cupboards, sink, pots and pans, etc. Our room even had a washer and dryer! It had 5 chairs to eat at the table and a highchair. In one of the storage rooms we found a pack and play.

This is one of the bedrooms. This is where Ana(a sister in our ward who was going through the temple for her first time) stayed. I was very excited to be her escort.

This was our room.
Needless to say, it was so nice to have two separate rooms, so many beds and a full size kitchen all for $41. Unfortunately we really didn't get a chance to utilize the kitchen, but next time we definitely will plan on it.

note to visitors who want to come out and see us: If you want to go to DC we can stay on base and see sites for many days! When we were driving to the base we could see the washington monument and the top of the White House. And we were only about a 20 minute drive to the Temple!

DJ: A Celebrity

I thought it was funny that they were all girls except for one. His mom always said he was too pretty to be a boy.

We love Sundays!!!

Today was filled with fun!!! (Good Sabbath fun!)

Yes it is true. Our youngest is now a thumb sucker! But, he is a goooooood baby! He now sleeps 12 hours straight at night and comforts himself with his thumb. We tried and tried to stop the thumb and replace with a binky, but to no avail. Oh well, it's really cute!

A BIG big bird puzzle. The kids had fun doing this puzzle with Dad.

I have MATCHING boys! It's so fun to have the same gender to match! I love it. My poor boys!

Maelie had to take some pictures too.

After church

Maelie went home with this cute headband. On the star it says, "I can be honest" Thanks Sunbeam teachers!

New hair color

My sister sent me some color for my hair because my highlights were growing out. DJ did the work (with the help of one of the Young Women in the ward) and he did a great job! Caboosey, this is what it looks like. Thanks for sending the color!!!

Notice, the really cute baby!

A quote for Dad

This quote reminded me of my dad so...Dad, here's for you! "On the choice of colour for the Model T Ford: Any colour-so long as it's black " Henry Ford (1863-1947)

Trick or Treat!

Last night we went trick or treating! It was very fun. Poor Garrett was top heavy and fell once, but he picked himself up and continued on. What a trooper! Candy was a great incentive.
Obviously, the bull costume won (see post below). We couldn't stop laughing!

Our Princess, Snow White

The trio!

What an adorable pumpkin!

We're ready to go! Candy, here we come!

The red bull is grazing!

Daddy and Sterling all dressed up.

Of course we had to take pictures of the fruits of our labors. This is Sterling's sucker that he will never get to eat. Yes, people actually gave us candy for him even though he didn't have a pumpkin bucket like the other kids. They just thought he was adorable and gave us candy for him anyways.

The Red Bull's candy!

Snow White's candy!

We had a very fun evening and the kids slept great that night. Sterling even slept for eleven hours!!!!!! Wonderful!

What should I be?

What should I be for Halloween?
A Mummy?????

A Skeleton????

Or a ???? Red Bull?????
