My wife is making me do this. If I don't I'll break the chain or something like that.

For those of you who don't know how this works, here are the rules:
A: Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves.

B: At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog for these rules.

I'm supposed to list facts/habits about myself for this thing. I just have one question before I begin. Do the facts/habits have to be true? I'm going to be a little bit of an antagonist and say no, so here goes! HE HE!!

1. So fact number one - I'm extremely good looking, six foot five, have a full head of hair and buliging muscles that would make even Arnold jealous. Mr. Universe here I come!

2. Fact number two - I love to take long walks in the park, pick daisies, watch old romance movies, get a good manicure and pedicure every now and then and go to tree huggers annonymous meetings in my spare time.

3. Fact number three - My favorite place to visit in the summer would be Antarctica. There is nothing more beautiful than seeing a landscape for hundreds of miles full of nothing. Me and the male penguins get along well though but the females penguins aren't liking a few of us much because we are lobbying that they should have to wait out the long cold winters on the eggs and not us so they can leave the real fishing/breadwinner bit to the men.

4. Fact number four - I am a very talented individual. I do opera on the weekends for fun, am President of the Temple Dental "I like to give people pain" Club, teach ballet to the football players at school, and teach a segway class one night a week.

5. Fact number five - I'm not very funny! HA! Made you laugh didn't I!

6. Fact number six - My wife thinks I'm nuts. Just in case you were wondering about this last fact, it's true and judging by this blog I just posted you can probably tell why.

Sunday Dinner

On Sunday we had a couple of Young Men from our ward over for dinner. Here they are playing 'My Little Pony' Memory game with Maelie. She loved it. As you can see, Garrett is putting the pink tray on one of the boys head. He didn't mind at all. Very good, patient boys.

We didn't torture them with Memory game only, we played Uno Stacko and a neverending game of Uno, and I mean never ending. I had won and the boys wanted to see who could get 2nd place and they played forever. Finally, dinner was ready and they had to end it without knowing who got 2nd. I think they were just intimidated by my card playing skills.

After dinner, we decorated Halloween cupcakes! I shouldn't have been surprised at how many cupcakes they could down because I grew up with 4 brothers, but I was. There were about 4 cupcakes left by the end of the day out of 24! Amazing!

Lancaster

Lots of pictures! Tons of fun! On Saturday, we went to Lancaster, PA. We went to the whoopie pie festival. Here the kids are in the back of a buggy. Look at that beautiful sky! It was a cool, breezy day. Perfect!

And there she is. The world record whoopie pie. That looks really good to me right now!

At the festival, there were about 20 antique cars that were on display. I only posted a few of my favorites. I thought of my dad as we were checking these awesome cars out. He loves antique cars.

Breakfast with the Bishop

On Saturday morning, the Primary in our ward had a breakfast with the Bishop. They ate bagels and cream cheese and had yogurt. Here is a photo of Garrett fully enjoying his third bowl of yogurt. He ate his, Sierra's and Maelie's. (The girls didn't want theirs.)

The kids made this wonderful picture of their hands for the Bishop which is now hanging up in his office!

After they scarfed down the food, the kids made picture frames and took their picture with the Bishop to put in the frames. The kids LOVED it!

1. I would rather be with my husband than anywhere else in the world. Sometimes this can be a bad thing though, because I never want him to go anywhere or do anything without me. (On his free time, I mean) I'm very selfish in that way.

2. I LOVE to read! Once again, this can sometimes be very bad because I tend to neglect my kids when I'm in the middle of a book. I can't control myself. It's better if I don't start a book at all, but I'm not capable of that.

3. Food, food, food. Give me my food! I love to eat. Anything, all the time. We budget well, except when it comes to junk food. To us, junk food is priceless.

4. I have an exceptionally large family. I place number 15 out of 16 kids in my family. Thanks Mom and Dad for this great blessing to have so many instant FRIENDS. Yes, John, you are my friend.

5. My favorite season is Spring. I grew up in Mesa, AZ where we have two kinds of weather. Hot(summer) and pleasant(winter). I've never really had four seasons I could remember until my husband and I moved to Utah. Now that I've experienced Spring, I don't think I can ever go back to not having Spring. I love the warmth, flowers, colors, smells, excitement, end of school year and all else that goes with Spring. I could do without the allergies though :). for any of you who don't like snow, I'd recommend moving to Mesa.

6. Along the lines of the above fact. I don't remember ever having a white Christmas. Sad to some people, but normal and fine to me. I lived in New Mexico until I was four, but I don't remember much about it. (But it did snow there) So if you want a white Christmas, I wouldn't recommend you moving to Mesa.

I really love the way Garrett says flip flops so a while back I recorded him saying it. Of course, if you take video of one child, the other has to be in it too!

Monsters

Maelie came home from preschool with this monster mask made out of paper plates. She was so excited about it. As we were walking into our apartment bldg. we saw some old couples coming out. Maelie ran up to them and put her mask in front of her face (like shown below) and said 'Aaargh' really loud. They loved it! All day she kept saying that she couldn't wait to show daddy her monster (and I mean all day).

Pumpkin party

For Family Home Evening we decided to decorate instead of carve our pumpkins this year. We had a great time doing it and felt festive. The kids had a ball. We topped it off by devouring candy corns and little pumpkins.

Blessing Sterling

On Sunday, DJ blessed Sterling at church. It went very well. We took this picture before I left for my meeting. (DJ and the kids weren't dressed yet in Sunday clothes so we decided to take a family one later.) By the time we got around to taking a family picture, our batteries had died. :(

An Ohio Visitor!!!

My sister, Stacey, and her four children drove all the way from Ohio to visit with me. We initially were going to meet at a playground halfway between our homes, but after checking the weather (60 percent chance of rain) we decided that we didn't want to be stranded outside all day in the rain. So Stacey decided to come to me! Quite a long drive for her, but we had a ball!
Highlights from her visit:
1. Buying 25 cent soft pretzels twice
2. Going to the Smith playhouse
3. Having someone (an adult) to talk with anytime
4. Maelie and Garrett playing with cousins
5. Meeting her new baby Bryana for the first time (she is 3 weeks older than Sterling)
6. Watching "The Best Two Years" while eating loads of sweets and other good foods
7. Feeding our babies together
8. Her kids crying because they didn't want to leave my house and go home!

Kenner wanted to hold Sterling so I let him and then Kenner looked at me very confused and said, "Well, where's your camera?" Now I have this very cute picture. thanks Kenner.

Freddy Hills Farm

Maelie's preschool went on a field trip to Freddy Hills Farm.
We first took a hayride to a pumpin patch.

Then Maelie, Garrett, and myself got to choose a pumpkin to take home. Below features Maelie's choice.

The Pumpkin Patch. It was a cloudy/rainy day.

Soon after the hayride was over, it started pouring rain. It came down in sheets of big drops of cold rain. Garrett was soaked through and through. Maelie was somewhat protected by her rain coat. Below you can see her jeans half wet half dry. We ate an ice cream cone and then headed home. The kids had a fun time. Unfortunately, I forgot about protecting my cell phone from the rain (it was in a pocket in the diaper bag that was only covered by a small flap) so now my phone doesn't work. Bummer!

Really missing family

After the last post I just posted, I really started missing my family. It was very theraputic to go through my pictures of my family. Here is the most recent of the whole family.

A Tribute

My nephew John is doing his Eagle Project and it is for "The Festival of Trees" (a big event that takes place in UT). He is actually preparing 3 trees that go hand in hand for his aunt, my sister, Shelley, that passed away 2 years ago. Each tree represents a big part of her life. One tree will have ornaments and such that represent her love of rock climbing. She was an amazing rock climber and loved to take anyone with her, even if she knew they would slow her down.

The other tree will consist of teaching ornaments. Her occupation was teaching high school students math. Her students loved her and she loved her students.

The last tree will be for her religious background. She served a full time mission in Russia. She had such devotion to her religion and loved her Heavenly Father and Savior so much that she served with all her capacity. Her faith led her to say "no" to a marriage proposal to the man she loved because he wasn't a member and couldn't take her to the temple.

I am so grateful for the time I had with Shelley on Earth. I miss her terribly, but I know that I can be with her again. It seems that sometimes I get caught up with so much of the things of the world that I forget why we are here. Thinking of Shelley helps me remember. I love you Shelley!

I'm a GREAT aunt!

Talk about feeling old. I thought 3 kids would be a sure fire way to age me, but adding the title great-aunt sure does a good job too! This is my nephew's baby! CRAZY.

It is so fun to get packages! Thank you Meghan (and Brandon, of course) for the gift for Sterling! Sterling, sporting his new outfit!
