Maelie's bad dream

So as I was reading other blogs, I heard Maelie start to cry (she went down for the night about 4 hours ago). DJ and I went to check on her and she was sitting up in bed. She told us that she had a bad dream. In her dream, Garrett wouldn't share his coloring book with her. We told her we were sorry and to go back to sleep. Wouldn't it be a happier world if all bad dreams were of that caliber. :)

The Palmer's are Simpsonized!

This was a lot of fun. Thanks Jordan for the idea! This is our whole family simpsonized!

on Tuesday, Maelie started preschool. She had a great time! Garrett was so excited to see her again. It was cute. If you want to see more of Maelie at school, click on the link to the left under 'Maelie's preschool'(it's another blog)

A law officer in Philly

Well, I've heard about this happening, but I finally witnessed it just the other day. I was driving behind a police officer when all of a sudden we came to a red light. The police man stopped and then suddenly turned on his lights and went through the red light. About 50 yards after the red light, he turned them off and continued on his (or her)merry way. The light turned green for me so off I went, still in view was the protector of law. Again he came to another red light, but this time, instead of stopping first, turned on his lights and went through yet another red light. Once through the light, he turned his lights off and continued at a normal speed (not emergency speed). After I picked my jaw back up I proceeded on through the NOW green light. Isn't it wonderful that we have such law abiding enforcers of the law?

Blog craze

Wow, I have been reading all the blogs for about an hour and a half and having the time of my life. DJ has been asking to check his emails for the last 20 min. because he's tired and wants to go to bed, but I just can't stop. Thanks everyone for an enjoyable evening. I probably should go to bed or I could just keep reading and posting on blogs considering that I'll be up in an hour anyways with a hungry baby!
Before I go, a quick recipe post for Lynnette and any others. I really like the free Kraft food magazines that come so here goes. Uh oh, DJ's asking again. 'Just one more minute honey, I promise' (crossing my fingers)
I really craved this when I was pregnant and hey...still do!
Fettuccine Alfredo
8 oz fettuccine
1 1/4 c. chicken broth
4 tsp flour
1/3 c. cream cheese
3 Tbsp Parmesan cheese, divided
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley (which I never have so I skip this ingredient)

cook pasta

meanwhile, combine broth and flour in medium saucepan. Stir in cream cheese, 2Tbsp of the Parmesan cheese, the nutmeg and pepper; cook 2 min, stirring constantly with wire wisk until mixture boils and thickens
drain pasta, toss with sauce. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese and parsley.

I double it because we really like food! I gotta go before I get tackled by a tired man.

Our good little sleeper

Sterling is such a good baby so far. He's sleeps a lot and is easy to calm when he cries. We are having fun with such a little one around the house again.

Here is our new little addition. His name is Sterling Vaughn Palmer. He was 6lbs 6oz. and 20 in. long. He came at 1:10am on Friday morning. We love our little boy! A proud (and tired) Daddy!

The kids love their little brother. Every time he cries, the kids come running to see if they can help!
