Garrett requested a spider cake. ha, this is what I came up with.

For his special birthday dinner Garrett wanted Mac and Cheese, Ceaser salad and carrots. Mom added the juice for a special dinner

Make a wish, 6 year old.

We are so happy to have Garrett in our family! Happy birthday bud

The boys at home

These are the 2 cute boys I spend my time with all day while the other 2 and daddy go to school/work. Cuties :D When we go to the store, I get asked multiple times if they are twins. They are different sizes, but you can tell they're bros.

Say "Cheese"

Dancing to the music on TV! You go boy!

He loves dancing!

Maelie's musical

Maelie's second grade put on a musical with all the other 2nd grade classes. Walking to and from the school: Maelie and a friend from her class.

The girl Maelie colored for the wall.

She played the xylophone while the classes sang a song. It was fun to hear her music in the background of all the singing.

Sorry for the blurry picture. The musical was called "It's a small world" and all the songs were based on different cultures. it was very cute.

Spring weather

The weather this Spring has been up and done. Hot and humid and a few hours later, cold and rainy. Here is a beautiful rainbow we saw while eating dinner. The 2nd pic is a double rainbow. Absolutely gorgeous.

Easter (better late than never)

An Easter treat!

Working hard on coloring eggs.

After all was said and done we had 15 beautifully decorated Easter eggs and only 3 coloring spills! It was fun.

Quick update

Maelie is taking piano lessons and doing really good. She has about week left of 2nd grade. She loves to read. She is very helpful to mom and dad. Garrett is 6 now (b-day post to come soon). He is almost done with kindergarten. He, too, likes to read. He is very obedient and tries to do what is right.

This picture fits Sterling perfectly. He is full of energy and has a very outgoing personality. He is 3 years old.

Colson is 19 months old. He is getting so big so fast and is very independent. He likes to do things on his own. He's a climber (our only climber) so we're constantly taking him down from things. He loves his older siblings and laughs all the time at them. He LOVES going outside.

The weather has been warmer so we've been playing outside more and going for walks often. The kids are excited for school to be over. We have a vacation, girls camp, and moving that we're looking forward to this summer. It will be busy, but fun!

Garrett

Ha! So the boy I worried about so much at the beginning of the year (will he sit still, we he be a trouble maker, will he be able to focus and concentrate, etc) was one out of 20 students in the whole school chosen for this award: This was what the letter said

Dear parent/guardian:
Congratulations! Your child has been chosen by his/her homeroom teacher as the overall Character Education Winner from his/her homeroom class. This is an honor of which you and your student can be very proud.
This year we will be recognizing the final character education winners prior to awards day because we have something very special planned for them. This morning, during announcements the overall winners' names were announced. Those students then came together for a group picture. They were also given this permission slip for a "by invitation only" field trip.
With your permission, on Monday, May 23rd, your student will be participating in some special activities. He/she will be treated to pizza for lunch. Following lunch, the group will be taking a bus to deliver the donated food from the Moye Food Drive to the O'Fallon Food Pantry. We will also tour the facility. The last part of the day includes going to the O'Fallon Police Department for a tour and K-9 demonstration. We will return to school by 3:00pm. All expenses are paid and bus transportation is provided.

WAY TO GO GARRETT!!!!
