AIC Thompson

I took Deacon to the Clinic to meet all Denver's peeps.  I only took one picture unfortunately.

Denver's tech (assistant) AIC Thompson (Matt) holding Deacon.  He didn't want to hold him, but I made him.  He's a single guy and didn't know how to hold  baby, but I think he did a pretty good job.  He's a great kid and a great Dental Assistant.  If he wanted to be a dental assistant all his life, we would hire him in a heart beat he's that good at it, but sadly he wants to do computer forensics.  The AF just placed him in Dental because that's what they needed at the time.

Pioneer day celebration

Our branch had a pioneer celebration on Saturday.  We started by making the cabins that the activity days girls made.  We played a lot of games and had lots of competitions and then we ate a delicious lunch.

Here we are making our own butter.  It's pretty amazing.  It's just heavy cream and salt and you shake it in the jar until it thickens and it makes real, delicious butter.

Searching for 12 golden eggs in the sand.

Sterling's taking a break for potty time.  Oops, before we could stop him it was too late.

Daddy wearing the baby.  I like it.

Tug of war.  Boys against girls (kids)

Dads vs. kids

Dads vs. Dads

Moms vs. Moms

Mmmm food

Pretty flowers Denver found and picked for me.
We watched the Pioneer concert broadcast at the church.  This is what Deacon did the whole time.
I'm grateful for the pioneers who had the courage, faith, dedication and strength to leave their homes behind and head to the unknown.  They sacrificed everything for their God.  A great example to me.
