Delicious Philippine food:
Delicious Portuguese carrot soup. We had a combined RS activity with the Portuguese branch. Nelda Dacayanan (Philippine member in our branch) taught lumpia and the Portuguese taught carrot soup making. Both delicious.
The Dental clinic went to the LYP (daycare on base for school aged kids) and put on a play. Denver was floss.
It was a story about the life of a tooth. It was funny and well done.
Spring rainbows in the Azores.
This is sweet bread with an egg baked in it. The egg still has it's shell. This is a traditional Easter food.
Our branch had an Easter activity.
For Easter I made Alcatra (a Portuguese dish). We invited a family who's husband/dad was deployed.
Our Easter dinner:
The kids had a Spelling Bee.
The view from the gym here. Love it.
We had District Conference Saturday and afterwards a few of us decided to take the Elders to Qinta Dos Acores for dinner and ice cream. As we were sitting there, more members from our Branch showed up and we kept increasing our table. I think only one couple that went to District conference from our Branch didn't go to the restaurant. It was a lot of fun.
For the May 1st holiday, the preschool made a person. That's what they do for the Holiday. Make stuffed people and sit them by their homes. Unfortunately I don't know why. I was told once, but forgot.
