Christmas Eve and Day

We truly had a white Christmas this year. Not only was there already snow on the ground from Christmas Eve, it was snowing off and on all day on Christmas. It was beautiful and a great Christmas!
Dad and Garrett built a snowman on Christmas Eve day. It was very cute and leafy :)

We ate like Kings and Queens. Here is our Christmas Eve spread! It was delicious.

After dinner we acted out the Nativity with scriptures and songs. Even Sterling listened and participated this year and did great representing all 3 wise men.
Maelie=Mary; Garrett=Joseph; Sterling=3 wise men; Colson=all the animals in the stable; Mom=the angel; Dad=a shepherd

After the nativity, we opened one present and then off to see Christmas lights. It was slow and go because it was still snowing and the roads hadn't been plowed, but it was very pretty.
We always have a special Christmas breakfast before the kids open their presents, so we got the table ready the night before after the kids went to bed. Each person got a bag of treats on their plate to eat when they wanted.
Santa came and brought the kids scooters and filled their stockings.

For Christmas breakfast each year we have bacon, sausage, eggs, grits and OJ. Sterling got burned by the piping hot grits and cried for at least 45 minutes. We couldn't open presents until he stopped. These blisters are from the grits. They were huge!

He was fine in the end. :)
Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures on Christmas morning because we took video so that's all! It was a wonderful Christmas!
