Fire station expo

On base we went to a fire station expo. free food, prizes and fun.

We all took a picture with Sparky, the fire station mascot. Colson was a little nervous to stand by him.

For a demonstration, this thing started on fire and the firefighters put it out and saved a dummy.

Another demonstration:  Take this car door and top off to 'save' the dummy.

These fun bikes were free to ride after standing in a long line. It was a hit with the kids.

There were many prizes given away.  They had prizes from 2 plane tickets to anywhere in Europe to an Ipod touch to $25 gift cards.   I won this indoor grill!   The plane tickets would've been nice, but I was just thrilled to have won anything at all.

A rainbow.  This must be rainbow season.  We have seen a rainbow a day and sometimes 2,3,or 4 rainbows a day.   It may not even be a rainy day and we see rainbows.  Beautiful.  My favorites are the ones on the ocean.

After the fire expo, we had district conference (On Saturday).  We met the new mission president and his wife.   The Flukigers, a very nice couple.

because we had district conference on Saturday, we only had sacrament meeting on Sunday.
