October 2014

This October we went to the Marana Pumpkin patch.  The first time was just Deacon, Colson and me for Colson's preschool.  The 2nd time we went as a family.  It was really fun and a lot bigger than I expected.
They had these big bouncy pillow the kids loved.  They were actually pretty fun.

The petting zoo.  I really don't know why they called it that.  It was just some cages of animals that you couldn't even get in to pet anything.

A project for Denver to build :).  These slides were really fast.
We watched a pig race.  It was really funny.

We rode on a train.

Went through a corn maze, rode on a tractor trailer and picked pumpkins.

Colson's preschool group.

We went to the Phoenix Temple open house. It was my 2nd one ever and the kids' first!
We rode a bus from a water park where we were all supposed to park to the temple.

The temple.

There is one more temple picture, but it's later in this post.

Halloween.  We had a 3 ward trunk or treat and then 2 days later went trick or treating.  The kids got tons of candy that we donated for the troops.
Deacon was sylvester.  He didn't like the hood on his head.
Coslon: soldier, Garrett:  captain America, Sterling:  a king, Maelie:  Maleficent

Their spoils after the trunk or treat:

Colson was assigned to bring a snack to preschool the day of the Halloween parade. We made eyeballs :)

We also made caramel apples and decorated them with lots of candy and sprinkles and chocolate.

The other temple picture.

For my visiting teachees I made cornucopias.

I had to add this picture of Colson's preschool teacher.  I thought she had a perfect costume for a preschool teacher.   Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.
