DC

On Friday night we drove to DC to attend the temple Saturday morning. We had to be there at 7:00am so we decided it would be better to wake up at 5:30 or 6:00 than 3:00am. We stayed in an inn on Bolling Air force base. The base was so nice and clean and safe, a commodity out here!We got the family suite and it was sweet! The kids slept in the front room where there was a hideaway bed/couch. They thought it was so cool. Maelie calls the inn room our 'new home'.

Here is the picture of the full size kitchen. Yes, that's right. An oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster cupboards, sink, pots and pans, etc. Our room even had a washer and dryer! It had 5 chairs to eat at the table and a highchair. In one of the storage rooms we found a pack and play.

This is one of the bedrooms. This is where Ana(a sister in our ward who was going through the temple for her first time) stayed. I was very excited to be her escort.

This was our room.
Needless to say, it was so nice to have two separate rooms, so many beds and a full size kitchen all for $41. Unfortunately we really didn't get a chance to utilize the kitchen, but next time we definitely will plan on it.

note to visitors who want to come out and see us: If you want to go to DC we can stay on base and see sites for many days! When we were driving to the base we could see the washington monument and the top of the White House. And we were only about a 20 minute drive to the Temple!

The hotel sounds great. We need to take advantage of that. Maybe one of these days when our husbands actually have some time off. I would love to see DC and not be so rushed.

Looks great!! What a perfect find you guys made--- I agree with Tamar. DC is always so rushed with wanting to sightsee and attend the temple, it makes it really hard to enjoy it. Staying overnight would definitely alleviate that!!

Again, you guys are awesome! We need to pick up on those military perks since Marc is doing Air Force! Thanks for the tip and glad that you had such a good time!

I can't believe how big that place was. We are in for anytime you want to go.
